There is something warming about the aroma of aged oak and the stories that come with each and every barrel. My journey has led me to meet people from Scotland to Australia.
For me, whisky is more than just a drink.
I feel that I have been drawn into a trap, thriving in its company.
And I now have enormous fun in sharing this journey with others.
It is said that a single malt should never be left alone. Come and join me!
A good group is 13 to 28 people, which keeps the room lively and lets everyone join in. Larger groups can be arranged; just ask.
Anything from a 60-minute taster to a full evening of about 2.5 hours, including the quiz. We’ll agree the length that suits your occasion when you book.
As an observant host, I don’t run events on late Friday afternoons or Shabbat. Motzei Shabbat events are welcome during winter months. Kashrut in whisky is a broad subject. If any guests have particular requirements, please talk to me before confirming and I’ll tailor the selection.
A room with tables and chairs, where everyone can sit comfortably and see me. There should be adequate room on the tables for the glasses (of each participant) and for the whisky descriptions.
Yes, please. Water is a must; for hydration, palate refreshment and some add to the whisky. Light refreshments help the whisky go down well. Suggestions include bread, cheese, crackers, dark chocolate and something savoury. Speak to me for more ideas.
Whisky Tasters reminds all customers that drink-drive laws exist in Israel.
Drinking to excess at these events is strictly not permitted. And you must be over 18 to participate. The host is expected to ensure in advance that safe transport, such as a designated driver, is available to all. If requested, I’m happy to remind guests on the night.
